Leonardo The Joker? 'The Perfect Mix of Madness and Genius.'

Warner Bros' has decided to make a stand-alone film about the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker. Certainly, legendary director Martin Scorsese has attached himself to the project.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Warner Bros. and Scorsese may bring Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio into the folds of the comic book world by casting him as the Joker in the Todd Philips-directed film.

The perfect mix of madness and genius, the Joker has continued to delight (and shock) fans since his debut in 1940. And the character's everlasting appeal on screen and in comic books has been largely credited to the aura of mystery about him.

DiCaprio is the perfect person to play such a complicated character.
The actor has proven his worth through the vast catalog of films he's been in, including Titanic, Django Unchained, The Great Gatsby, The Revenant and the aforementioned projects, to name a few. DiCaprio is skilled enough to peel back the layers of this iconic, not to mention complicated character and help us understand who the Joker is and how he became the man that he did.

What do you think about DiCaprio? Would he make a good Joker?

Yes, This is a True Story: 'Film Threat Sucks'

Film Threat’s mission: to champion up and coming indie filmmakers while giving a middle finger to the Hollywood establishment. Sometimes hilarity ensues. Threat began as a xeroxed fanzine started by Chris Gore and Andre Seewood in 1985. Only 500 copies of the first issue were printed and then distributed on the campus of Wayne State University on February 6th, 1985. It was on that campus that Gore and Seewood earned a reputation as disruptors by playing pranks on the film department and even going so far as to fake Gore’s death to promote a film screening. Seewood left after a year and Gore continued to grow the magazine beyond its xeroxed roots into a fully printed magazine. Chris Gore moved the magazine to Los Angeles in 1989 and opened an office at the Cherokee Building on Hollywood Boulevard. In 1991, Larry Flynt acquired Film Threat which then split into two magazines – Film Threat was owned by LFP and Gore continued to champion underground filmmakers in the pages of the ...
